THE THINGS THEY NEVER TELL YOU ABOUT BPD

They talk about instability.

They never talk about depth.

Being highly sensitive doesn’t make us weak.

It makes us dangerously empathetic.

We feel everything. Ours. Yours. The shift in a room before a word is spoken.

We read energy because we had to survive it.

Hypervigilance wasn’t a flaw.

It was training.

We are intuitive because we learned early that safety lived in tone, silence & micro-expressions.

We notice what others miss.

We feel what others bury.

We are relentless.

Not because it’s easy.

Because giving up would have killed us already.

People with BPD show up.

To therapy.

To the work.

To the ugly mirrors.

To breaking patterns that were never ours to begin with.

Hope isn’t naïve for us.

It’s defiance.

We love like a wildfire.

Fierce. Devoted. All in.

Not the watered-down kind.

The kind that protects, remembers, stays.

Our emotions are intense because our capacity is massive.

We are loyal because we know abandonment in our bones.

We don’t play with hearts.

We guard them.

Ride or die isn’t a phrase.

It’s a promise.

Most of us have survived trauma, abuse, addiction, suicidality, self-injury, disordered eating & nights we weren’t sure we’d see morning.

We are still here.

That isn’t dysfunction.

That’s endurance.

Managing emotional intensity every single day takes strength most people will never have to build.

We are not broken.

We are warriors with nervous systems on fire.

We are proof that survival can still choose softness.

That pain can coexist with devotion.

That hope can live even in the dark.

This is BPD.

Not a punchline.

Not a diagnosis to fear.

A force.

hope dies last 🖤
